I finally was able to go see my niece that was born on March 9, 2009. My brother and sister-in-law had been waiting for me to come take pictures of the little one. They needed to get announcements out so I hurried down for one night, which I hate doing, because it is just not enough time! She is such a little cutie. She has these cute little chubie cheeks and red hair that is just to die for, oh and gorgeous blue eyes! She is going to be trouble, Tim and Beccy you better watch out. Oh. My. Goodness. It was quite the challenge trying to get good pictures of this little one. Not as good as I planned but..... I think I did alright, let me know what you think!

Spring is here!!
Oh my goodness has it been a while since I have posted anything! I am so sorry for that. Since I have been back from visiting my sister in Ohio I have been working my tail off! Thankful for the hours and the money that I so desperately need. Can you believe that it is finally spring? We are actually seeing and hearing many signs of spring here in the valley. My favorite is the wind machines. I love waking up to the sound of the machines blowing, because I know that spring is here and there is work to be done. Another sure sign is more birds! Everywhere! I am not so sure I like this. Don't get me wrong, I love birds. But, I love the cute, singing, beautiful birds. Not the annoying, squawking, keeping me up, on the only day I get to sleep in birds! Plus, they eat all my cat and dog food and leave droppings all over my deck, MY NEW deck. I have been hearing the pheasants in the grape vineyard, I do love that sound. Let's see, another sign, my dogs do not want to come in at night. Which I suppose is a good thing, but I miss them when they are not sleeping with me and my little Missy likes to bark...way to much! Another sign, mmmmm.... oh yes..... the yard. Time to clean up the yard. Oh how I love this chore. Picking up all the blown down twigs and branches, cutting dead heads off flowers, pruning rose bushes and bushes, mowing the lawn, pulling weeds! Oh my gosh it is never ending on my TEN acres. But hey it gets me outside! Oh yes and one more sign I loooove to see, is the smudge pots.... the way they glow in the dark. I get the view as I am driving to work. It is actually a gorgeous sight, I am going to try and get a picture this year! Another pretty sight is the other kind of frost control, leaving the sprinklers on at night and in the morning the trees are all frozen, very pretty! Wow...can you tell I love spring?
Today I am going to go have lunch with a very close friend of mine, that I haven't seen since high school. I am really excited. Tomorrow, I am going to make a quick trip up to see my brother Tim, Beccy and my cute little niece Addison. I have to get pictures done so they can send out announcements and I am so very pleased they have been waiting for me to take the pictures. At least I think. But if they haven't I 'm not offended, truly, I know Beccy will be reading this. : )
I have been carrying the mail lately, helping out with the no hiring process! Which is fine, because that is where I am getting all my hours! It can definitely be tiring, wow, especially on the first day. Working 10 hours straight with no lunch, Wow! I drove for the first time yesterday and it was not easy.
I have been walking for the past couple of weeks, that to me is easy. But, the driving is a little more difficult, especially if you don't know the route.....which, I didn't. I was just shown the route yesterday and I did it the same day. Man, here is how my day went. I am driving along, I can't read the boxes until I am close, I am trying to pay attention to the road, to children, to the cars, everything and anything....you can't back up. Not aloud - postal policy! Sun of Gun, I just missed a box, dang it! Well I have to deliver the mail. Okay, stop the truck, put it in park, set the emergency brake, take off your seat belt, take out the keys, close the door, run back to the mail box, deliver. Go back to the truck, put your seat belt back on, start the engine, take it out of park, release emergency break, check your mirrors, any kids....people, okay go! Delivered a few more boxes. Shoot....Missed another box! Mind you this is because people have not labeled their boxes. Ughh, there's a car parked in front of that box, there's a garbage can in front of that box. Dang, I have a package to deliver with confirmation, on the walking route and I forgot my scanner in THE truck. I can't figure out how to open this huge mail box for the apartments. Nine hours in and I can't find 25 N. "C", because the house was just remodeled and they haven't put their number on their house or mailbox!! ARrrrrr..... And that was how my 10 hour day went. Just thought you would like a feel of what it's like to be a NEW letter carrier.
I LOVE IT!!

Meet my beautiful niece ~Grace Marie~
Oh my did I have a wonderful visit with my sister, brother-in-law and my beautiful new niece! What a way to spend my vacation, I couldn't have asked for a better way, then to meet my gorgeous, absolutely, Adorable niece. Grace, Gracie as we called her, was the cutest little baby girl and I am NOT being bias because she is my niece, but I am really telling you she is so adorable. She looked just like her mother. Her smile and her cute little itty-bitty nose! Oh, how I am going to miss this family. I loved spending time with my sister and seeing what a little one can do to change a person, she is quite the busy little lady now and what a wonderful mother she has become. I am so proud of her. Here are some pictures I was able to capture, hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
